About Boulanger CPA — IRS Audit Representation Led by a Licensed CPA

Boulanger CPA and Consulting PC provides CPA-led IRS audit representation for individuals and businesses facing federal tax examinations, Information Document Requests, proposed adjustments, audit appeals, and related IRS controversy matters.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to help taxpayers navigate IRS audits with clarity, organization, and experienced CPA representation.

IRS examinations can be stressful, especially when the IRS requests records, proposes adjustments, or questions business income, deductions, credits, investments, or accounting records. Our role is to bring order to the process, help taxpayers understand what the IRS is asking for, organize the response, and protect the taxpayer’s rights throughout the examination.

We focus on practical, CPA-led representation — not call-center tactics, scare-based sales scripts, or generic tax resolution promises.

Founder, Boulanger CPA and Consulting PC
Licensed Certified Public Accountant — California & Oklahoma

Marc Boulanger is a licensed CPA whose practice focuses on IRS and state tax controversy matters. His work includes IRS audit representation, correspondence audits, office audits, field audits, Information Document Requests, audit appeals, tax notices, collections issues, and related examination matters.

As a CPA, Marc brings both tax technical knowledge and financial record analysis to audit matters. Many IRS examinations turn on whether the taxpayer can explain and substantiate what was reported on the return. That often requires more than simply sending documents — it requires organization, context, and a clear understanding of the issues under review.

Our Approach

We approach IRS audits by first understanding the type of examination, the tax years involved, the issues identified by the IRS, and the records requested. From there, we help organize the documentation, communicate with the IRS when authorized, evaluate proposed adjustments, and determine the appropriate response strategy.

Some audits are limited correspondence examinations. Others involve in-person meetings, Revenue Agents, business records, accounting systems, interviews, or multiple rounds of Information Document Requests. Each situation requires a thoughtful response based on the facts, the documents available, and the taxpayer’s rights.

What Makes Us Different

  • CPA-led representation: IRS audit matters are handled with direct CPA involvement.
  • Audit-focused guidance: We focus on IRS examinations, audit documentation, proposed adjustments, appeals, and related controversy issues.
  • Record organization: We help taxpayers organize records so the IRS can understand how the documents support the return.
  • Practical communication: We explain what is happening, what the IRS is requesting, and what the next step should be.
  • Nationwide IRS representation: IRS audit consultations and representation are available virtually for taxpayers nationwide.
